We visited Bali in September of 2019 and the first and most common question everybody does is where to stay in the island. The first thing you must have in mind is that Bali is huge and that you probably will take a long time to go from one place to another. Besides the main attractions be far away from each other, in Bali the traffic is chaotic. So we don’t recommend to rent scooters or a car. The greatest tip is to hire a local guide to take you on the trips. We did all our tours with the travel agency Onmywaytobali and we strongly recommend it. They made us a detailed itinerary and took us to all of our tours. To contact Rodrigo from Onmywaytobali, click here.

Bali is known for its many lovely rice fields, for its swings, beaches and waterfalls, for its mountains and forests, for its Hindu temples and because of its yoga retreats. Besides, the island is also one of the most desired places for surfers, cuz Bali is especially famous for its world surfing championships. And a hotel that is the face of Bali, located less than 5 minutes walking distance from Canggu Beach, a surf village, is Hotel Tugu Bali.

We stayed at the Puri Le Mayeur Suite, the biggest and more luxurious room in the hotel. It is really huge, the size of a big apartment. It has a large living room, a spacious and well equipped bedroom, a private swimming pool, a romantic open-air dining pavilion, a large verandah to witness the sunset and it has also a beautiful hand-beaten copper tub in the bathroom. This bungalow is amazing, certainly it was one of the best suites we’ve ever stayed in our whole life. It’s perfect to celebrate a special occasion.
Rejant Suite stays on the upper floors of a a Javanese house and it has deep colors, an elegant bed and luxurious bathrooms hand-crafted by local artisans. It has sea views and feature a private spa area with a bathtub and a antique day-bed thoughtfully arranged next to the bath.

AMENITIES AND SERVICES
The breakfast is really good and very well served. You can choose between many things in the Menu that they take to you. You can have your breakfast in your own suite, in Iwa Restaurant or in JI Restaurant at the terrace (with ocean view). We chose to have it on the terrace and we loved it! There are many options of cereals, breads, jams, fruits, croissants, coffees, juices and teas. Check out below some more photos of our breakfast in Hotel Tugu Bali. We loved it!
The Spa of Hotel Tugu Bali is wonderful. We got really impressed with the quality of the treatments offered there. The place is beautiful, clean and all you need to do is to lay down and relax. To know more about Hotel Tugu’s SPA & Wellness and to see all the packages offered, click here.
We also loved the swimming pool of the hotel. The whole pool area is so inviting and beautiful. It’s surrounded by a tropical garden, being the face of Bali! There is also a pool bar, where we had a delicious drink by the pool. It’s worthy to spend some time there and just relax.
