Our trip to Southeast Asia in April of 2018 had one of our destinations the charming town of Luang Prabang, in Laos.
Laos is a small country in Southeast Asia, northeast of Thailand, west of Vietnam. It is also surrounded by Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia and China. Despite the capital being Vientiane, the city of Luang Prabang, World Heritage Site by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation), is one of the main tourist destinations of the country.
We arrived in Luang Prabang by airplane, leaving from Chiang Mai´s airport, in Thailand, and we got ourselves very well accomodated at the Luang Say Residence. The Luang Say Residence is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and it enchanted us in each detail. It was amazing how we were welcomed with refreshing towels, drinks and snacks. The bottled waters in the rooms are also complimentary. The staff members are always very attentive and nice to everyone. The employees from the main desk are always willing to help and they have always a smile on their faces. The Laotian Hospitality is admirable and at Luang Say Residence the perfect attendance is guaranteed. It made us feel like we were getting received by our own family.
The hotel has a very good localization. They are located only 10 minutes from Luang Prabang’s Airport and they offer Free Shuttle in both directions (from the hotel to the center and from downtown back to the hotel). That’s really cool, a very nice point to consider when looking for a reservation. The van is very comfortable, spacious and clean, and it leaves in specific times from the Hotel to the Centre and from the Center to the Hotel. But whenever you need, you may require the shuttle and they might get it for you. They will do their best, that’s s for sure. The Hotel is very complete, there you will find everything you need to have a memorable stay at Luang Prabang.
Luang Say Residence has its own glamour, with a luxurious decoration and architecture, a spacious and beautiful garden, an amazing pool and a fantastic restaurant, everything with comfort and quality. Located in the UNESCO heritage city of Luang Prabang, this 5 stars hotel is the perfect choice. It´s really a fair price to pay.
With the seal of Travellers’ Choice 2017 from TripAdvisor, the breakfast of Luang Say Residence is simply fantastic. In the fancy style “A La Carte”, the Restaurant La Belle Epoque has an amazing Breakfast Menu with quality, besides offering coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, fruits, breads and yogurt. It’s really very complete and delicious and the attendance is very good. The waiters are always happy and smiling. We loved that place. La Belle Epoque is really FANTASTIC!
The accommodations of Luang Say Residence are spread out within five pavilions holding 32 suites at the total (28 pioneer suites and the main residence comprising 4 Explorator suites). Each building has 4 rooms and they are simply fantastic. We loved that on the hotel. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and include the latest facilities including Free Wi-Fi. They are also all very spacious, comfortable, luxurious, very well decorated and they have tropical gardens and mountain views. It’s amazing!
The Wi-Fi works perfectly everywhere and amenities like shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion are all of excellent quality. For all of these and much more the Hotel has Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor and it’s the first one considering the guests reviews. You must include Luang Prabang in your itinerary through Southeast Asia. There, you already know where to stay.
The Luang Say Residence has a very beautiful tropical garden and a fantastic pool area, worthy of a 5 Stars Hotel. It also counts with a complete and very luxurious pool bar. This awesome pool is gonna enchant you anyway, but when you get to the hot weather of Luang Prabang, you will never wanna get out of it. This Hotel is amazing!!!
As we mentioned before, the Hotel offers Free Shuttle to downtown in specific times or whenever you request (upon availability).
The hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and we had a perfect and a memory stay there. We strongly recommend it.
